All of our flavors are made with turbinado sugar (raw sugar), water, and then steeped with the dried ingredient itself like pandan (Southeast Asian plant) & ube (a purple yam). There are no preservatives nor anything artificial added, so once you open the bottle, you can keep it for 1 week on the counter or 1 month in the fridge.
Pandan: Toffee like flavor, typically green but we chose not to add artifical dyes
Ube: Cereal milk flavor (think fruity pebbles) with a natural vibrant purple pop straight from the yam
Tiramisu: Tastes just like the dessert: a creamy, mild, mascarpone cheese foam sweetened with simple syrup
Coffee concentrate is our already brewed phin coffee; a 14g:4oz coffee to water ratio equally as strong as espresso per volume, but higher in caffeine (Robusta beans have almost double the amount of caffeine as Arabica). You can use this in place of espresso in any and every espresso based drink on a cafe menu. It will likely taste better and smoother as it is less acidic. You can make iced coffee by mixing 1.5-2oz with 6oz of water and serving over ice. A traditional Vietnamese coffee is made with 1:2 ratio of sweetened condensed milk to phin coffee concentrate, but we have found 80% of people prefer our standard which is 1:3.
Phin & Grounds
If you want to make your coffee at home but espresso machines that work are too expensive, this is for you! But is it really comparable? $5 piece to a $30,000 machine? 100% and it's less acidic so your digestion is likely to appreciate the swap. The phin we currently offer is a food-grade stainless steel, affordable option so people can try out the method without a whole lot of investment. All you need is the phin, something to boil water (use filtered or RO water - spring or sink water will taste strange), and phin ground coffee.
Syrup & Vietnamese Sweetened Condensed Milk
Our syrups are made 1 cup turbinado sugar (raw sugar) to 1 cup of hot water and then 1 to 2 tbsp of the flavor's dried, pure ingredient steeped and filtered back out.
The sweetened condensed milk we currently use is Southern Star Vinamilk as the American sweetened condensed milks have a milkier, less rich flavor. We recommend this brand or Longevity brand.
Pour Over
The pour over requires a filter & you can use a standard paper filter by folding it in half & then fold one half of that half down to be as small as possible & now you have a fitting cone! You can also purchase any filter to fit "Chemex Hario V60 Bodum". We recommend buying a stainless steel reusable filter as the results are identical & more sustainable.
Recommended ratio: 1:16 coffee to water
